Samsung Galaxy S II vs Samsung Epic 4G Touch Benchmark Test

You'd think that Samsung's Galaxy S II series would all be more-or-less similar, but the version on Sprint is significantly different from the version on T-Mobile. Wirefly's Bob Kovacs was curious about what this different meant in terms of performance, so he conducted a benchmark test to see how the two phone compared.

Benchmark Test: Samsung Galaxy S II vs Galaxy Nexus

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the new king of the hill for technology in Android phones. It is the first device to have Android 4, as well as a big beautiful display and a speedy dual-core processor. So how does it compare to the Samsung Galaxy S II for T-Mobile, which came out a couple months ago? Wirefly's Bob Kovacs runs the AnTuTu Benchmark test to see how the two phones compare when measured against the same yardstick.

Samsung Galaxy S II for T-Mobile Unboxing

Samsung continues its rollout of its Galaxy S II series with the version for T-Mobile. Called simply the Galaxy S II, the T-Mobile version features a different processor ( 1.5GHz Snapdragon dual-core) than its near twins on other carriers, but it has the now-familiar 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display. In this video, Wirefly's Bob Kovacs opens the standard retail package for the T-Mobile Galaxy S II and shows what comes in the box.

Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch Review - Part 2

It's big and it's fast: The Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch. Here is part-2 of Wirefly's review, which demonstrates the phone's camera, game and video playback capabilities. Wirefly's Bob Kovacs also revisits the benchmark scores for the Epic 4G Touch, which prove to be among the highest scores he's recorded.

sleek compact and sexy fast!!

Posted on: September 11th, 2012 by Jose Sandobal

ive been up and down all phone companys and i stopped as soon as i got my hands on my Galaxy S2 from tmobile. i does everything better faster and much more fluid. i had the dell streak 5 and loved it but size does matter! especially if you place the otterbox defender case on it its just a bit to big. The Galaxy S2 is just right hits that sweet spot for the larger handed peeps. i honestly did not like the upgrade to ICS android 4.0 it seems a bit choppy and not as responsive and also possibly due to i was so use to the other settings screen . all in all i prefer this phone im loyal to its simplistic yet elegant design and more so to its simple and easy to navigate system. shoot i got my 55 year old mother in law on this phone and she is loving it!! ( note she was still on flip phones before the galaxy s2)

Best upgrade ever enough RAM

Posted on: September 3rd, 2012 by Jared Cohen

I love this phone to the bottom of my heart. It does a ton and I mean a Ron of stuff great phone use it all of the time. The reception parts of bucks county in pennsylvania is somewhat spotty. Like my last phone I get edge then back to 4G. It's a great fast responsive phone that gets things done. The battery is no where near the battery management of the almighty iPhone. I strongly recommend this phone who wants it it retails with 2yr. commitment at 149.99 currently. Although some people would most likely pick up the galaxy s3 which picks up where the s2 left off. Good luck in your purchasing decisions.

I've fallen in love with Samsung phones!

Posted on: August 4th, 2012 by Tom Heintz

The last Samsung phone we had was just a plain jane model about 4 years ago. I only tried a Samsung smartphone after a friend had a Captivate and had good things to say about it. I'm glad I listened to that friend. I traded in an HTC Inspire that I'd only had about 5 months. It locked up more times than the brakes on an old car, hated it.

Best phone I've ever owned

Posted on: July 25th, 2012 by Dave Morgan

I love the Galaxy S II Skyrocket, and it has all the technical features I wanted. But what I love the most about this phone is the ease of mind I have knowing that I have in my pocket a device that is technologically advanced, easy to use, fun to use, connected and does everything I want it to do easily and quickly. Along with a trade in and an upgrade, I got my Skyrocket with a well known case for $8.15. It's the best $8.15 I've ever spent.

the best phone for under 100$ anywhere!

Posted on: June 18th, 2012 by Adam Morrone

4/5 on display because the autobrightness is a little dim 4/5 on battery because i can't always get through a day due to the LTE radio and there's no way to turn it off everything else is great! LTE is crazy fast, the phone rarely studders or lags and has only frozen on me once (i bought it 8 months ago). camera is excellent, although the flash looks bad sometimes. slim and light
