"The best phone under $100"

I purchased the S3 back when it was the final device to buy in order to keep my unlimited data.

Powering on the Phone: Gorgeous, the Samsung start up never looked better, and coming from an HTC Incredible, it was even more obvious that I was looking at a premium handset.

Apps: Every app so far has run smoothly, and I have over 350. RAM is a fantastic 2GB, a great selling point I think a lot of people overlook. The memory is unusually small though, and I've read similar stories online of only having 200mb of room left.

Storage: I have an 8GB micro-sd card leftover from the Incredible added to my 16GB....and 24GB is more than enough. I also have about 200 photos saved and my iTunes...yes this phone does itunes...all phones do.

Camera: tinkering with settings makes this my go-to for photos, and is much better than my 6 year old Panasonic Lumix. I take photos on every vacation and weddings with this. I also love the record 1080p HD whilist taking photos bit.

Screen: ah...720p is all you need for web browsing and movies on a phone, plain and simple...however, the color is a little off (fixed via app), and the screen is nowhere near as bright as the OneX..still its fantastic and should be good enough for everyone.

Speaker: cup your hand and its pretty decent, no cup and its very quiet. Speaker during calls sounds good when you're in an empty room but is terrible when you're in your car driving and its rainy, around a crowd, at the park, etc...for those of you who still talk on your phones.

Speed...some stutter on mine but i do have a ton of apps and photos...otherwise I love it

Design: I have the seidio active with metal kickstand...looks good, not too bulky, adds the right amount of heft, and the kickstand should be standard on every device...Naked, its still better in-hand than an iphone, the rounded edges and smoothness is nice.

Conclusion: Am I getting the S4? No. The S3 is more than enough and is still better than other devices out now. For $100 it's a steal, especially since I remember spending $238 on my Incredible in 2010. If I had an upgrade would I give up my S3 for the S4...HELL YA...Verizon off-contract monthly payment system starts in like 2 weeks, of course I'd do it.

Samsung Galaxy S III Written Review by Taylor

Samsung Galaxy S III Written...
The Samsung Galaxy S III is the third installment of the ever-popular Galaxy S series by Samsung, and it is one of the most refined and balanced Android handsets we have come across here at PhoneDog. The fact that Samsung has already sold 20 million Galaxy S III units should lend credence to its quality. With literally hundreds of Android handsets before it, the Galaxy S III boasts some of the best specifications in any mobile handset … ever, such as a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED... more...
