Samsung Galaxy S 4 vs. Apple iPhone 5 Schmackdown by Wirefly

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 is the newest Android Smartphone to take on Apple's iPhone 5 in the Wirefly Schmackdown arena. Two phones enter but only one is crowned the Schmackdown Winner.

In Round 1, Wirefly's Scott Lewis will take you through all of the important design aspects of the Galaxy S 4 and the iPhone 5. While they are physically similar in some ways, they are completely different in others. Will the larger 5 inch screen on the GS4 give it an advantage or will the slimmer profile of the iPhone 5 give it the edge in the design round?

These two phones could not be more different when it comes to software. In Round 2, Scott will breakdown the good and the bad of each operating system. The software battle has been going on since Android smartphones first challenged Apple's golden goose. Find out which OS is best for the way you use your smartphone.

Round 3 will wrap up the Schmackdown by giving you a look at some sample photos taken with both the GS4 and the iPhone 5.

It is available for just Rs.27500 5 in Full HD SAMOLED display fits perfectly in hand, GG3, 1 day battery (2600mah), Very powerful CPU and RAM Now available in faux leather. However it lags after update, so keep in mind - not to update it.

great but battery needs to be bigger

Posted on: July 18th, 2014 by Connor Hodge

went from a iphone 4s to the s4 and yes the os is way better but the battery is not any better. ordered an extended battery with 7500mah and the battery lasts me 9 hours of about 1 hour with pandora and usage of facebook and games while at work for 8 hours with 50% battery left. the screen is a god size and the display is amazing. overall the phone is excellent when the phone has battery power or your hooked up to charger if you dont buy an extended battery

An amazing smartphone overall

Posted on: March 19th, 2014 by Drew Page

I recently switched from an iPhone 5s to a Galaxy S4, and so far, I am very pleased. The 1080p 5 inch screen looks amazing. The 5s has a great screen, no doubt, but the 1080p screen is better. Also, Android Kitkat is every bit as good as iOS 7 (which I still use on my iPad mini). Its true, Samsung did include lots of gimmicky software, but it can all be turned off, luckily.

Good Phone with Decent price

Posted on: January 29th, 2014 by Jatin Bhatli

I guess its the decent phone which performs pretty well in every aspect. Camera is very good in good lighting conditions. Battery life is pretty descent which will last for 9-10 hrs of usage in a day, which i guess is a gud back up time for a smartphone. The only Con's i can see in this phone is the Build factor. Nothing is new in the design part of it.

The world at your hands...

Posted on: January 1st, 2014 by Michael Vazquez

Loving the new GS4! Crisp, clear display on a screen just pushing the boundaries on size. I think Anything bigger would definitely be TOO big. The battery life could be better though (I do wish they would stop making new phones and work on making new batteries for a moment). The phone fits comfortably in your hand and with the ease of Swype, you can easily use the phone one handed. Apps work very well on this quad core beast. I know that there are phones with a bit more power but do you really need it on a phone? Personally I think it's already a bit of overkill on the GS4. Overall, I wouldn't trade it at present time. I love my phone!
