Amazing Phone

Posted on: June 5th, 2013 by Rob August

The Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE, that's a lot to say, it comes with Android 4.1.2 with Samsung's TouchWiz overlay, and packs a 4 inch 480 x 800 display which comes in at 223 ppi. It has a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon S4 Lite, 1 GB ram and 4GB of on board storage processor which has gotten scores around 4,800 on Quadrant Standard. It has an SD card slot that is expandable to 32 GB. The camera is a 5 megapixel sensor which records video in 720p, the camera takes amazing video and picture quality is great. Coming from the HTC Evo V 4G which is a bigger device with a 4.3 inch screen and weighed a lot more than the Galaxy Victory. The display is very crisp, text is easily view able, the viewing angles are superb, and the colors are very vibrant. The reception has been good in my area, 3G is always at full bars, 4G is much more scattered, that is just due to the lack of 4G towers in Rhode Island. Although when in an area with LTE I've had download speeds of around 25 to 30 Mbps, upload speeds have been around 15 to 20 Mbps. The battery life has been great, even with a smaller 2100mAh battery I am still able to get about 20 hours on a single charge. The design is very stunning and looks sharp and elegant, the gray accents really make this device look sharp, it reminds me of the Samsung Ativ S. It is made out of plastic, typical of a Samsung device although I must say the device feels both smooth and sturdy in the hand. In terms of Apps & Media Support this device has access to not only the hundreds of thousands of apps on the Play Store, but also comes with Samsung Apps which is a collection of apps that Samsung offers users the ability to download in the same manner of the Play Store. Overall the Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE is an amazing device that needs more credit then it gets. It is a powerhouse hidden away in a comfortable chassis and runs smooth with no hiccups whatsoever. I would recommend this device to first time users or to someone who is looking for an upgrade this phone will be perfect for anyone who decides to buy it.
