i'm bored with my 8900

hey everyone this is my first time posting on here & i need some help. i'm pretty up to date when it comes to phones but maybe one or two slipped by me. i have an 8900 now & i've grown pretty bored with it. i updated the OS to 5.0.314 & that was cool for a little while & now i'm looking for something else but i'm not sure what i'm looking for. What i like in a phone... Good size screen (none touch), full key pad, full html...

i don't suggest people go with at&t cause they're not good to their costumers. but if you do go with them i'd say wait for the blackberry 9700, the moto q9h (global) is a good phone. i also liked the jack & propel pro. but i like windows mobile.

i ran into a problem like this, well, kinda like this. when it comes to buying an unlocked phone or an at&t phone there's a chance it wont work. if it's unlocked you'll have to get the phone set up for the at&t network but in order to do that you'll have to call them. they might call you & ask why you're using a different phone cause they can track your sim card but sometimes it will take them a while to notice. i'd be careful either...

ok 1st, cajunrph. i wouldnt say that the bold/9000 is the best blackberry. they just launched the bold2/9700 which is available for t-mo & at&t.
now, i think we all agree that at&t has sunk to an all time low. but hell, there's almost 100 comments on this so we have 6 to go! lets get this thread over 100 comments!!!! ummmm, go team go? hahaha

actually, it's fuuny cause in their tv sopts they don't say "most reliable 3g coverage" or "nations largest 3g coverage" they NOW say, "the fastest 3g coverage" so they changed it again cause they know they can no longer lie by stating that they're the best or largest. funny thing though is that 3g is 3g is 3g. hahaha. you can't say, my 3g is faster then your 3g. that's like saying, my size 12 shoe is bigger then your size 12 shoes. it just doesn't make sense. hahaha

I agree, this isn't about the coverage as a whole. It's about the 3g areas. At&t/cingular has always been sketchy about what they allow their consumers to know. Try this, call 611 & ask the rep to read to you the last 5 notes on your account. They wont do it! How do you not have the right to know what these reps are writing about you on your own account? I called at&t before & got in a fight with a lady cause someone wrote i was trying to get a free phone when i clearly stated i didn't want a free phone, i just wanted mine fixed. Look at how many times they've been taken to court for placing fraudulent charges on customers bills.

About the 3g coverage, I use to talk to people at at&t about verizons 3g & i'll tell you. I've never seen people get so upset about something so stupid. They'd start yelling in the stores about how verizon isn't 3g & they're lying to people. The whole thing is so stupid!

Thanks Brian for the props! I talked with tech suppport at At&t before about their "3g" network. I was having issues a while back cause when i'd go from 3g to edge my calls would drop. Anyone remember the old commercials for at&t when the person would be on the phone & talk to themself cause they didn't know their call was dropped? yeah, that was me. They told me they couldn't go all 3g because lots of the consumers didn't have 3g phones. That's an odd statement to make. How can they blame their lack of 3g on the people who make it so they have jobs?

Now lets look at Verizon. Before the Blackberry tour when did they have a really dope phone to rave about? I don't remember 1 phone that dropped for them that was worth throwing a parade for. Now, they're getting more blackberry phones, we see the droid & other big name phones making their way to verizon & now they decide to poke at at&t? Remember when at&t was getting all the great phones?
Now a funny side note, some tv spots have sprint trying to do the same thing. But everyone seems to be ignoring them. T-mo rarely takes jabs at anyone!

So, why is it that both verizon & at&t think it's important to take these jabs? The whole thing is rediculous if you ask me. I'm sick of both companies trying to act like the best thing since sliced bread when in reality they both have flaws.
But then again, i guess it's best to ignore those flaws we all have & focus on the flaws someone else has. That way, when someone goes to verizon they can say, "well, at&t is like this & we're not" & at&t can say "well, verizon is like this & we're not"
But lets be honest, they're both the same.
