Yes, on the side of the LG Dare there is a button that u push to lock it so u want call/text people while its in your pocket or purse.

You should get the env touch.
it has a real keyboard & touch screen
plus its definetly not as bulky
as the voyager

Good luck dude. I tried the same argument on my mom and ended up with the enV and I played around with my friend's dare and it beats by a few miles.

PROSEverything, the touch screen is VERY acurate, music and speaker, picture wuality, camera, video, personalization, call quality, texting, battery, design, EVERYTHING!
CONS
None. Video is a Tiny bit pixely but i can live with it.
SUMMARY
Great phone, you wont regret it, no mistakes or anything. Battery life is good if you over use you'll still have half or 3/4 bars left. GREAT futures, fun to use and the touch screen is awesome! I love the camera and everything else. I would recommend to everyone.

Hey all! I have the Dare and so far am liking it. I am still getting used to the touch screen texting but it seems to be getting better everyday I use it. My question is this: I want to designate a certain ring tone to incoming text messages. On my old phone I was able to give anyone a ring tone for both calls and texts. This is really important to me because I recivie many many texts in any given 24 hour peroid. Please email me with any suggestions: RandaPandaNoVA@aol.com

I'm looking at getting either a LG Dare or a Samsung Instinct.
I only use my phone for calls, sometime camera, and I would really like to incorporate a calendar/agenda (to replace broken Palm). I don't text, and do all my emails and web-browsing from my laptop, not my phone. Any suggestions as to which is better?

Versa isn't the successor to the LG Dare, but it sure looks like it. Noah pits LG's two Verizon VCast touchscreen phones against each other in a PhoneDogFight!

Dare 100%. My friend has the voyager and he hates it. He even tried to steal my Dare. The Dare is a great phone with heptic feedback. Go with the Dare..

I am considering the Dare for my next phone but am still unsure about the touch screen. I like the feel of real keys when texting but the voyager seems too bulky. The Dare seems to be the right size for me. Any comments on the Dare's qwerty touch screen?

Can anyone tell me how to load music on my Dare? I use the phone as just a regular phone; however, I was told that it has a lot cool options. I would like to listen to music that I can download from the CDs that I currently own. I am sure that I may have to file the CDs on my hard drive on my PC. Also, I would like to know how to download from Rhapsody.

i have an lg dare and overall i love the phone but the only problem that i have with it is freezing and locking up im already on my second phone and im still having freezing problems and i dont know what to do.

i like the phone except the touchscreen will recalibrate over night. does anybody know what the button on the back of the phone does next to the battery?

The Dare is a awesome phone i don't think many people no this but you can record slow motion videos on it.If wanting a new phone Verizon i highly recommend this phone.

dude the dare is awesome!!! i have the motorola Q9m right now and it is annoying. great phone but i dont really like smartphones, and it charges internet whether you want it to or not. my dad doesnt like that and is planning on getting me a new phone, either the env2 or the dare, and i want the dare SO BAD!!! any ideas on how to convince him to get the dare?

PROSNice camera. Very user friendly. Easy customization. Great look and durable. Texting is great after you get used to it.
CONS
The web is very hard to navigate around.
SUMMARY
Over all I think this phone is solid. There's abundh of cool features on this phone like you can handwrite your texts. And you can take videos at 1200 frames per second and can play of back in slow mo. The camera is 3.2 mega pixels. Also the phone feels great. It's not as long as the instinct and not as fat as the voyager. Great phone I recomend it.
