I have had the phone for about a year now. The touch screen will drive you crazy, you hit one key and get something else. Yes I have calibrated it taken it to the store , get it back and am told it works fine. You try to unlock the phone by touch screen and that is a joke. Go make a call if you have a couple of days you hit 3 and get 7 9 or almost any other number except the one you touch. This phone is like a gun, when they work they are great when they don't their all pieces of junk. Sorry LG but you have a lot of work to do on this set up.

USER REVIEW: I will miss this phone :(

PROS</b
Every thing about it is awesome.

CONS
Hm..hard to make your own wallpaper. It doesnt wanna fit, so you have to take it just right. My phone wont take pictures sometime. Takes a while to get into camera mode. Hard to text on touch screen.
SUMMARY
Iv had this phone for about, oh i say 6 months now. Bought it for my own christmas gift :) I like it. Iv always had low phones, like virgin mobile. So this was amazing. I dont care for bulky-ness. Its fine by me. Its so sturdy. People tell me theirs broke, but i dont see how. I bought 4 cases for 6 bucks on ebay. Battery is awesome, let it die sometimes, so the charge stays charged long enough. And get invisible sheild for it.Since it is touch screen.Call is CRISP AND VERY CLEAR... But i have to switch to ATT, so i can no longer have this phone...If ATT gets voyager anytime soon, im so getting it!

Voyager Titanium <3

USER REVIEW: Sick! :)

PROS</b
Touch screen vibrates nd responds well.
John asks:

Hey Noah, I am thinking of getting a new phone on the Verizon network. Currently I have a Samsung Alias. I want to get a phone that has stellar messaging capabilities, like good email support for mutliple accounts, twitter, IM (AIM), and facebook with good web browsing, also. I am thinking of getting a Blackberry Curve, what else do you suggest? Thanks for the great reviews and vids. -John PS: Some of the applications are 3rd party apps for Blackberry.

Noah answers:

Thanks for watching and reading - glad you like the reviews!

As you probably know, Verizon is getting ready to launch the BlackBerry Storm, which could offer you everything you're looking for. Early reviews on the touchscreen response are mixed; I haven't yet had the chance to play with one. As soon as I do, I'll report on it, you can be sure of that.

There are also reports that VZW is getting ready to launch the Samsung Omnia and HTC Touch Pro, both of which are Windows Mobile devices that should meet your technical requirements. Samsung is also readying a new WinMo smartphone for Verizon, as well. As always, you have to try these phones out for yourself as they each have very different "feels" once you get them in hand.

You could also check out the LG Voyager and Dare, though they might not offer the level of Email/Web support you're looking for.

I'd say wait another month or so if you can before making a purchase. We should see several new models in time for the holiday shopping season.

Thanks for the email!

Cheers,
Noah

Sarah Asks:

Noah, do you personally like the LG dare or Voyager Titanium better? I am having trouble deciding. Thank you.

Noah Answers:

Hi Sarah

I personally like the Dare better. Why?

1. Built-in headphone jack. I listen to a lot of music.

2. Better camera.

3. Smaller.

Hope that helps. Try before you buy, is my strongest piece of advice.

Thanks for the email!

Cheers,
Noah

Min Asks:

My Verizon contract is FINALLY coming to an end this November. I really want to move to a new company or atleast a new phone depending on what I see. I was really interested in Helio because of their 500minutes/unlimited everything for $65 but now I hear they got bought out and might not be around. I mainly txt and web browse but I had to get a loner (Razr V3m) after losing my W580i. So my ultimate question is what is the best txting/web browsing phone out there and who has the most affordable price? Thanks!

Noah Answers:
Hi Min,

It's really difficult to pick one "best txting/web browsing phone." I would first do some research to see which carriers have the best service in your area. For instance, two of the four major carriers don't work very well in my living room (seriously). A great phone at a great price is useless if the service doesn't work where you live, right?

That being said, you should check out the following devices. I personally think that T-Mobile offers great value with their plans, but it all depends on your needs. Anyway, I'll limit it to devices with keyboards since you specifically said texting:

Sprint: LG Lotus, Samsung Rant, HTC Touch Pro
Verizon: LG Voyager, HTC Touch Pro (Coming soon), BlackBerry Storm (Coming soon)
AT&T: UTStarcom Quickfire (Coming Soon), Apple iPhone 3G, HTC Touch Pro (Coming Soon)
T-Mobile: HTC G1, HTC Shadow, BlackBerry Curve/Pearl/Flip

Hope that helps. We may see some other new phones released before the holidays, as well.

Thanks for the email!

Cheers,
Noah

Brandon Asks:

Hey Noah! trim. They say it's gonna be available tomorrow from VZW via phone and
Web, though it may not show up in retail outlets for a bit longer.
What they - and I - don't know is if Titanium + Visual Voicemail =
Voyager Refresh, or if there's actually a new, newer Voyager 2 in the
works as has been rumored.

I can tell you three things here:

The only way Verizon is going to release the current Voyager in a
new color and a "New Voyager" is if that new Voyager is very different
from the original. Think EnV2 vs EnV and then some. While VZW
certainly doesn't shy away from loading their lineup with a ton of
handsets at any given time, it really wouldn't make sense to confuse
consumers by adding a new color to their flagship model only to trump
it with a slightly revamped version of the same phone.

Whatever happens, we'll get the new Voyager(s) and tell you all about them pronto. Promise.

Voyager
debuted at CTIA Wireless last September. I'd bet money (if such a
thing were legal where I live) that LG and Verizon hit San Francisco
next month with something shiny and new in tow to show off at this
year's show.

Timing aside, this is a good thing - cell phones may have been invented to help people contact one another when away from home, but we all know Caller ID was the true revolutionary advancement in telecom technology. Knowing who's calling so you can decide who's worth talking to? Now that's helpful. Visual Voicemail basically acts as Caller ID for your Inbox, amongst other things.

Is it free? Can I get it on my EnV2 or Chocolate 3? I'll quote from the VZW press release:

Verizon Wireless customers can find the Visual Voice Mail application on the Messaging menu under option 6 on their Voyager by LG phones. Visual Voice Mail is available for $2.99 monthly access, per line, plus airtime or megabyte charges and messaging fees, depending on a customer's plan. Customers should take their Voyager by LG phones to any Verizon Wireless Communications Store to receive the free software update. Verizon Wireless expects to offer Visual Voice Mail on additional devices in the coming months.

VIDEO: Verizon Showdown: Voyager vs Glyde vs EnV2 Part 2

By popular demand, three of Verizon's VCAST messaging phones go head to head.
