Noah Answers Your Questions - When can I have the Touch HD?

Q.Hey Noah, Love the work that you do. I was just wondering if you heard any whispers when the Touch HD will be coming to the US and if so which carrier. From the stuff I've seen I love it but if the wait is too long (say over 6 months) I'll just settle for the Touch Pro. Thanks! A. I'm amped up about the Touch HD, as well.  So far there's no word - or even whispering - about a US carrier.  I know HTC is interested in bringing...

Noah Answers Your Questions - Will Verizon have a new fall lineup?

Q. hey noah, love the phonedog site i check it daily and all the reviews you do are amazing. most of the videos from CTIA were all on new phones for sprint, which is fine, but i was looking to get a new verizon phone for Christmas and was wondering if anything new was coming out for verizon anytime soon, or if what they have now is pretty much all they're gunna have. if its possible for you to answer this, i would greatly appreciate it. and if...

Noah Answers Your Questions - N95, Instinct, or enV2?

Q. hey first off I would like to say awesome reviews on youtube. Ive been looking at three phones to buy; Nokia N95, samsung instinct and the lg keybo(env2). I am looking for a good internet phone with an awesome mp3 player and easy to text. Do u have any suggestions? A. Thanks for the kind words - glad you like the reviews!  Since you said "Easy to text" I have to ask if you like to use T9 or full QWERTY to text.  If you like full...

Noah Answers Your Questions - What features are "free" with my Instinct on Sprint?

Q. I'm looking forward to buy the Samsung Instinct and before I buy it, I want to know more about GPS, Internet, MP3 for example if GPS, does it come with the phone or they charge extra for it??, and Internet is it free?? or not, and also I want to know how the MP3 works. I saw a video on Youtube, about this woman getting a 300 page bill from iPhone, which was crazy and got me to forget about buying the iPhone, and plus I don't want to...

Noah Answers Your Questions - Can the iPhone 3G stay "new and fun"?

Q. Hey Noah, love the site.  Now if I got the Apple iPhone 3G, my Question is will it stay new and fun and not seem outdated after 2 years. I tend to get bored of phones after a little over a year.  Thank you for your time. Keep up the good work on PhoneDog! A. I think iPhone will stay new and fun because of the App Store - there are new programs available for it every day, and since many of them are free, it's an easy way to make...

Noah Answers Your Questions - LG Rumor or Samsung Upstage?

Q. Hey Noah - I’m looking for some information on the LG Rumor and Samsung Upstage. I’ve seen the videos and they provided me some information. I would like to know some more information on both phones and I’m curious on how texting works on the Upstage. If you can give me some information on the 2 phones that would be great.  Thanks A. Thanks for the message, and for watching the videos.  UpStage is a pretty old model at this...
Noah Answers Your Questions - Omnia or iPhone?

Noah Answers Your Questions - Omnia or iPhone?

Q. Noah, I was extremmely close to buying the iPhone until I saw the Samsung Omnia in your video. looks tight. how cool is it and is it up to par with the beast made by Apple? A. I've only had a little bit of hands-on time with Omnia but it definitely looks great.  Omnia's a Windows Mobile device, so it should be somewhat similar to the HTC Touch Diamond in that you've got Windows Mobile 6 running underneath with a nicer layer of user...
Noah Answers Your Questions - T9 on the Instinct?

Noah Answers Your Questions - T9 on the Instinct?

Q. Noah, you have very informative videos and think that you are great at your job. I have a question about Sprint's Samsung Instinct. I am fairly efficient with a QWERTY keypad, but I am so much faster on a T9 layout. Is the Samsung Instinct capable of a T9 text entry? I noticed in your YouTube video "Sprint Samsung Instinct vs LG Vu vs iPhone - Long Version " that when you entered the number to text (right past the 10:00 mark), the numbers had...
Noah Answers Your Questions - What is over the air downloading?

Noah Answers Your Questions - What is over the air downloading?

Q. In your instinct vs iphone comparison you said with the Instinct you can download 'over the air' and the iphone you cannot. what does that mean and what does it mean to me in a practical sense? Also, what other limitations would this feature, or lack of the feature, cause? A. Over the Air downloading means that you can purchase and download songs and video directly to the phone using your cellular connection.  Apple limits iPhones to...

Noah Answers Your Questions - Comparing the LG Dare & Samsung Instinct

Q. Hi, I saw your comparisons of the LG Dare and Samsung Instinct and I had some more questions about the two. I have some specific questions for the two phones that I'd like some answers to 1. Which touchscreen is better? Which is more responsive? When you're typing which screen works better?  I've heard ppl vouch for both sides so I'd like a good extensive opinion from an actual reviewer. 2. Which browser is better? Because I've...

Re: General

T-Mobile may not have an all touchscreen device at the moment, but T-Mobile users can expect the Samsung T919 (which TMo has named "Behold") in the very near future. It is based on the European F480 and will be available in black and pink.

Re: General

I had the palm centro from sprint I have verizon services now, but, anyway both phones from each company are the same I had the pink one. the phone is a good phone for a first time smart phone. I liked it when I had it. The only thing I didnt like about it was the Qwerty keyboard was kinda cramped if you have little hands or fingers then its ok.lol

Re: Mailbag & Top 5 Phones - Sep 19: iPhone, Bold, Touch Pro ...

hey noah it was nice to see you gave the touch pro top 3 device. i am looking to renew my contract with at&t with the touch pro. however, i can't belive you didn't give the N85 or any Nseries any love man! N85 is truly the all around workhorse for the power user. i don't know, iphone topping your list is kind of disappointing, but then again, it's your sight your list and your choices. great work.
