The BlackBerry (r)evolution is upon us!  Aaron takes a look at the BlackBerry Torch 9810, one of the new BlackBerrys announced and a nice addition to AT&T's smartphone lineup.  While BlackBerry 7 - RIM's latest version of their mobile OS - is very similar to past builds, the Torch 9810 packs improved specs like a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.2-inch display with improved resolution, 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities, and a physical QWERTY keyboard.

Smartphone diversity is great (not everyone needs an Android phone, after all), and the Torch 9810 is a great replacement to the aging Torch 9800.  Still, will it sell well given the iPhone 3GS' $49 price point?  We'll find out.  Part 1 of 2.

Robert Centennial
Robert Centennial It's the same design as the old torch which has major issues. The keyboard is to recessed, the screen bounces, light bleed is excessive, the slide gets loose easy, and the bottom touch panel delaminates. It's a junk phone that rim should be embarrassed with the first one.
'Mike Nance
'Mike Nance The fact that they are comparing the newest BB phone with BBOS 7 to a phone that peaked 2-3 years ago should say it all....major fail.

Rodger Samiie' Myers Blackberry isnt obsolete if its whats used by most teens-adults that dont wanna deal with the complex hassles of a iphone or android...it does what it needs to do..make calls and text...+ A battery that can last u several days and a expandable port for SD..+ the exclusivity of BBmessenger...RIM is lacking innovation..but its not dead at all

Jordan Mamba WorldPeace Konesavanh @ people with android.. Android's capabilities and apps cannot be matched.. But you cant match the fact that Apple has more games if you are a gamer.. And Blackberry you can't match the reliability of notifications and organization it really is a buisness device.. #Galaxy S 4G user

Brian Edwards
Brian Edwards With this move, Blackberry is starting to make sense. Best processor to date to run their bloated older system, in addition to an update to said system. It's plausible but unlikely.
