Aaron reviews the HTC Inspire 4G, AT&T's newest smartphone and an awesome addition to their Android lineup.  With a 1 GHz processor, 4.3-inch display, 8-megapixel camera, HSPA+ compatibility, and Android 2.2, it's essentially a revised version of the EVO 4G.  What's more, it's the first US device to offer HTC Sense 2.0, the company's latest version of their popular user interface.

As if the specs weren't enough, the $99.99 price tag is sure to sway potential customers.  The only downside is the battery - at 1,230 mAh, it's not big enough to power a high-end Android device through a day of moderate use.  Is it worth considering?  We'll find out.  Part 1 of 2.

Ahmed Jamal Ibraihimi How do u recognise different models of HTC's smart phone, they all look same like the 'bunch of Zebra's' in forest.....
Ron McKenna
Ron McKenna toss up between the samsung infuse later on or the HTC in another week or so.
Nathan Lewis
Nathan Lewis @Lance Waller But the difference is you have no options with the iPhone aside from storage space. HTC doesn't claim that their way is the only way, and they offer variety. QWERTY Keyboards, larger screens, smaller screens, Higher performance or good performance at a more affordable price. Its called options. Look at computer technology... they are upgrading hardware nonstop - same goes here. Constantly offering top performance as soon as its available.
Jarrad Floyd
Jarrad Floyd Speaking of HTC, looks like the the Desire HD2 may be shapeing up to be the *Pyramid*... Hopefully we'll know next week right?!!?
Lance Waller
Lance Waller Ok. But apple does it once a year. Not twice a month
Frank Porter
Frank Porter I would have bought one, if not for AT&T bogging it down with their ususal bloatware, locking it down to where I have to root it to side load non-market apps< as well as the theory I heard which is that they are capping 4g speeds. No, instead I'll be going with the new HTC Desire HD A9192. It doesn't have nearly as much onboard memory and isn't compatable with 4g but the 3g speeds are reportedly pretty fast anyhow and how much phone memory will I actually need since I'll be able to easily transfer apps to my sd card. It'll cost me a pretty penny but it's worth it to me just to avoid another contract with AT&T and deny them the opportunity to try and tell me how I'm supposed to use my phone. So that's it, and I can say with all certainty that as long as AT&T or any other carrier for that matter insists on releasing phones in this manner, I will NEVER buy another subsidized phone or sign another contract ever again.

Simon Yu
Simon Yu @Lance Waller might as well tell Apple to stop and Samsung as well; HTC is basically releasing a slightly modified version of the Desire HD on each carrier, just like Samsung does.. in Apple's case their phones are nearly the same as well with slight changes.. And as for me.. NTY it's a great device but I'm waiting for the Pyramid.
Lance Waller
Lance Waller Once again.....htc makes the same phone again. Just stop.
