Android dogfight battle time!  Aaron puts the HTC One up against the Google Nexus 4.  They have their differences, but from a hardware standpoint, these are two Android smartphones that can finally compete with the Apple iPhone 5.  If you were looking for the Android equivalent of the iPhone's metal/glass build, look no further.

The HTC One's specs:

  • 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 CPU
  • 4.7-inch 1080p HD display
  • 2 GB of RAM
  • 32 or 64 GB of internal storage (non-expandable)
  • 4-ultrapixel camera with 1080p HD recording and HTC Zoe
  • 2,300 mAh battery
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5
  • Coming soon to AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile

The Google (LG) Nexus 4's specs:

  • 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU
  • 4.7-inch HD display (768x1280)
  • 2 GB of RAM
  • 8 or 16 GB of internal storage (non-expandable)
  • 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD recording
  • 2,100 mAh battery
  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (stock)
  • Available through Google Play (and through select T-Mobile channels)

It's a tough head to head comparison by any metric.  The HTC One is gorgeous and the included software features are nice, but the Google Nexus 4 features stock Android and the price point (sans contract) can't be beat.  Which one will come out on top when all is said and done?  Part 2 of 2.
