When they made the One X, One S, and One V, one thing HTC promised not to do was dilute the brand.  Fast forward to today, and you could argue that HTC has moved away from that strategy with the One XV, One SV, and other variants of the original line.

The HTC One XV is available at AT&T for $49.99 and offers a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU, 4.5-inch qHD display, 5-megapixel camera with 1080p HD recording, 1,810 mAh battery, 4G LTE, and Android 4.0 with HTC Sense 4.1.  The HTC One S can be had at T-Mobile for $50 and has a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD recording, 1,650 mAh battery, and Android 4.0 with HTC Sense 4.1.

Which smartphone offers the best combination of features and price?  Part 1 of 2.

Anthony Bailey
Anthony Bailey But, the only flagship Galaxies (the one's that actual sell and sell on the major networks) are only the Galaxy S2, S3, Note, and Note II. That's not confusing at all, unless you're 80 years old an suffer from dementia. But, there are literally like a dozen difference HTC phones out right now, featuring many of the same specs, and on the majors... One X, One X Plus, One S, One V, One VX, and so many others. I know the difference between a Galaxy S2 and a Galaxy Note. I can't tell you any differences between any of these endless "HTC One" models.
John Zanatta
John Zanatta @Anthony - Is their naming any worse than the amazingly large number of phones named "Galaxy xxx?" Galaxy S, 2, & 3: I understand the lineage. But what about all those other "Galaxies?"

Anthony Bailey These HTC model names are beyond ridiculous and confusing. Clear signs of a struggling company desperately grasping for relevancy.
