AT&T's hard at work rolling out their 4G LTE network, and with a new network comes phones that take advantage of said technology.  One of AT&T's two initial 4G LTE devices is the HTC Vivid, and it's available now for $199.99.  Packing a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, it rocks a 4.5-inch qHD display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording capabilities, a front-facing camera, 1,620 mAh battery, and Android 2.3.4 with HTC Sense 3.0.

It's a feature-packed device that's housed in a beautiful body, but it goes up against a ton of other Android devices this holiday season.  Can it distinguish itself?  Part 1 of 2.

Tony Chun OGSGS2 w/ Exynos processor instead of the FAILCOM S3 chip. Would like the LTE even tho I don't live in an LTE area; HSPA+ still works decently.

Jay Massey Nathan, I swapped my gs2 for the skyrocket, was excited about the 4.5 inch screen, I have at&t so its 4.27, but after about 45 minutes with the skyrocket, I flew back and got my gs2 back. Skyrocket lagged, was slow, and made me crazy, stick with what you have!
Nathan Wilson
Nathan Wilson That's what i was thinking, but those LTE speeds sure are tempting xD but if the processor sucks then that point is moot :P Thanks!
Arthur Mmayie

Taylor Chase
Taylor Chase I'm a huge HTC fan, and the Vivid is sad. Its not made of the high brow materials you'd come to expect. While its an LTE phone for AT&T, the Skyrocket obliterates it in literally every aspect.
