Despite the buzz around the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S 4, there's a lot to like in mid-range Android devices like the LG Lucid 2.  Available now at Verizon Wireless for free (with contract), it offers a solid specifications list and perhaps most importantly, could be the phone for those that don't care for the increasingly large displays that are shipping with the flagship smartphones.

Specs include:

  • 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU
  • 4.3-inch qHD IPS display
  • 5-megapixel camera with 1080p HD recording
  • 2,140 mAh battery
  • 4G LTE connectivity
  • Wireless charging (with optional accessory)

It's the age-old battle: is it worth getting it for free on contract, or should you splurge and get something like the Samsung Galaxy Note II or HTC DROID DNA?
