Aaron takes an in-depth look at the LG Optimus G from AT&T.  Coming on November 2nd for $199.99, the phone is LG's answer to other high-end devices on the market.  It features a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, 4.7-inch IPS HD display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD recording, a 2,100 mAh battery, Android 4.0 with LG's UI, and 4G LTE connectivity.  It's packed with some great specifications, but LG's name needs some work in the US when it comes to high-end smartphones.  Can it compete with the likes of the Note II, One X+, and Galaxy S III?  Part 1 of 2.

Thanks for your participation! :)

Lawrence Lepes It seems like a pretty cool phone, but I am going with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The Galaxy Note 2 is more expensive, but it has more features. If you want to get Android 4.1 at a cheaper price, then all you have to do is buy this phone, and then upgrade the OS.
Vishal Nandre I dont think so....LG is not in the war coz of build, battery and user interface
Huner Mathias Apple and Samsung are overrated and pieces of shits to
Nirav Insomniac Lg got better build quality than samsung on some of their devices. But touchviz is sure 100% better smoother than lg UI!!
JesusNveronica Flores I don't think so
Flako Ramirez Nope LG who?
Alberto Garcia Flores Does apple has a quad core and a 13mp camera and / or a high definition display?? UI could be the worst but apples new iPhone is shitty too...Maps and all those issues its having, so I think LG's new flagship phone its a better phone despite the UI.. My Samsung Galaxy S3 has no competition though
Fonzy Paniagua Awesome Specs, Horrible UI
Daniel Quintero ditch android lg and go webos
Amie Lee Greenway No NEVER! LG is good with appliances but not phone. Their last great phone was the Chocolate.
Gordon Christie No they have yet to make a decent phone and the battery dies and you need to buy another cos it won't hold a charge after a few months use
Derek Almond Only of you're talking about TVs. And even then Sammy has that dominated.
Ken Hoey Yes, they most certainly can compete! Their ips displays are second to none. The last couple phones they put out have been really nice. I'm actually considering using my upgrade to get that quad core G
Jose Angel Santiago Nope crappy UI!!!
Warren Saunders I'd take an LG over Apple any day
Ebadullah Bhurgri They surely can, optimus G is a good device.. It is surely gonna give good competition to note 2 and Htc one x+.. The device packs quad core processor and good amount of ram... The only two things that are bothersome are the Software it should had come with Jelly bean rather ics and the battery is also a concern...
Daniel Marin never, shitty UI, build quality, need to say more?
Miguel Placencia no.. they might have a chanc3 if they are really making the next nexus.. because we all know that in terms of anything LG is slow on updates.
John Cruz Kinda but their chances are low
Raiyan Hishamuddin depends on how they market it
