The market is full of $700 superphones that feature multiple gigabytes of RAM, quad-core processors and 1080p displays, but what if you need something that's a little more wallet-friendly? The low-cost smartphone war has been heating up ever since Google began selling its Nexus hardware at very affordable prices, but these days you can find even better solutions for a fraction of those costs! Enter the Moto G and the BLU Vivo 4.8 HD. These two phones come equipped with quad-core processors, HD displays and extremely affordable price tags.

The performance to cost ratio of the Moto G is unbelievable. This device should not be in existence, yet here it is, and it's become very popular with price-conscious consumers. The BLU Vivo 4.8 HD is a little pricier than the Moto G but also features some clever design, combining a larger display and slightly faster hardware to offer a great overall user experience. But is the Vivo 4.8 HD hindered by BLU's custom software?

Watch as we put these two affordable smartphones head-to-head in our Moto G vs BLU Vivo 4.8 HD video!
