Pantech Burst Video Review Part 1

AT&T and Pantech are taking "mid-range" to a whole new level with the Pantech Burst.  Available on January 22nd for $49.99, the Burst is a 4G LTE smartphone that packs a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 4-inch Super AMOLED display, 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, a front-facing camera, 1,650 mAh battery, and Android 2.3.5 with Pantech's UI.

For the price, you can't beat the features, but it goes up against some other well-spec'd mid-range phones like the HTC Radar 4G and Nokia Lumia 710.  Is it the must-have device?  Part 1 of 2.

  • Jared AugerotI'm sorry, I have a pantech crux, and it ruined my thoughts on pantech. It is TERRIBLE. I could list a hundred things wrong with it. but that would be a waste of my time. this "Burst" phone may be better, but I really don't care.Jan 19th
  • Josh LazenbyIts made, priced, and marketed as mid range. That is why its midrange. They also haven't said what chipset the processor is. Even if its the 1.2ghz dual core... if its built off an ARM 11 architecture its obviously going to be "midrange". It does, at least look, to have high end specs, but that's not what it's intended to sell as obviously. I also think the build quality, materials, and other specs need to be considered when they are available.Jan 19th
