Remember when PhoneDog reviewed the Samsung Vibrant?  The Samsung Galaxy S 4G is an evolutionary upgrade to the Vibrant with a larger 1,650 mAh battery, a new battery door, Android 2.2 (Froyo), support for T-Mobile's HSPA+ 21 Mbps network, and a front-facing camera. The form factor is exactly the same as the Vibrant, and save for an updated version of Android, the software interface is almost identical as well. It offers a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor, 4-inch Super AMOLED display and a 5-megapixel camera. Part 1 of 2.

"Aaron does a video review of T-Mobile's Samsung Galaxy S 4G. Is it worth buying when so many great phones are right around the corner?"

Rich K Ingraham Jr. I want to see a dog fight between my touch 4g and Samsung Galaxy S 4g... Please make it happen, ready to get an upgrade for my sister
Steven Skwarkowski
Steven Skwarkowski Sadly I have an upgrade I must use in the next 14 days. Looks like its the new galaxy s or the g2. Good thing I dont need the phone, I can just sell it
TJ Regno
TJ Regno Why bother with this Vibrant should have been when the Galaxy S 2 is coming with much improved hardware. Tmobile should let original vibrant owners trade in for $50 for the vibrant 2. I had the Vibrant and enjoyed it. Sold it though. My European friend had the galaxy with front facing camera and I decided I wanted that to video chat wifi or cell wise. I second the request to know the new phones coming for tmobile, dual core, etc. ?
Alec Harmon
Alec Harmon Pretty much the same as the x but has a front camera and tegra 2
Jacob Dewayne Cox
Jacob Dewayne Cox Dose any one now what the specs are for the droid x 2 or if there is even a droid x 2
Sam Rick
Sam Rick No...not that big of an upgrade....plus its samsung which means you'll never gonna see gingerbread on the phone.
Tyrone Rupert
Tyrone Rupert This is a phone scam by samsung. Dont purchase this phone just for 2.2 fcc and new radio upgrade. Those who by this minus well get a nexus s or something better unlocked. I dont like when they make devices with barely any changes.
Curt Popejoy
Curt Popejoy No flash. That is a fail...
Walter Nunez
Walter Nunez I'd stick with the htc my touch 4G. Customization is way more better. And besides. If u have an old phone. It wouldn't b last years device. I have a iPhone 3G s and getting the my touch 4G would b a big up grade for me. Like the 1ghz processor , FFC , htc sence , and bigger screen. So people get what you want don't trip about what people say. If it's an upgrade for you then get it! !!
Wasim Mazahreh
Wasim Mazahreh Baha still no rear flash camera. Samsung and T-Mobile fail!
Lorenzo Tubby Contreras
Lorenzo Tubby Contreras Someone please give me a list of upcoming phones on T-mobile coming down the pipe line that will rip this phone's asshole apart. Currently I'm rocking a shitty Cliq and I'm saving my upgrade discount for something. Should I just get a G2 instead of waiting for this?
Christopher Manic Johnson
Christopher Manic Johnson The Moto Atrix is the same price. Tmo could have sold the Galaxy S 4G for $149, or maybe even $129 subsidized, because, let's face it, if you get on a 2yr contract w/ this, you will be rocking a last gen device for 2 years, meaning your device will essentially be 2 years behind a year after you bought it. That would be like buying a 3G S on contract right now. This is what I call the market being milked, and ppl are going to eat it up because it has the '4G' moniker...
Darryl Mouzone
Darryl Mouzone It's Samsung. Of course not. Better phones are coming soon that will blow this phone apart.
James Jamison
James Jamison The ffc mod explained on XDA plus the custom roms make it not worth the money if you have a vibrant already.
Victor Rios
Victor Rios I think so even if samsung has a bad rep due to the updates I think its with it regardless...besides this one already has Froyo.
Boyd C Adkins IV
Boyd C Adkins IV If you have the vibrant? No. If you want a vibrant with ffc? Yeah
