After a late entry into the Android game, US Cellular is going all out with its lineup. The latest addition, the Samsung Gem, is an awesome option for first-time smartphone buyers or those looking to migrate over from competing platforms. It's sporting an 800 MHz processor, 3.2-inch display, 3.2-megapixel camera, and a stock build of Android 2.2.

It's no match to phones like the HTC Desire or Samsung Mesmerize, but it's a decent little smartphone that should appeal to a lot of people. The $29.99 price tag can't hurt, either. Aaron takes a look at it in the full review. Part 1 of 2.
