Even at the mid-range tier, there are quite a few devices worth looking at on AT&T.  One of those is the Sony Xperia ion, Sony's first 4G LTE device.  Priced at $99.99, it offers a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 CPU, 4.5-inch HD display, 12-megapixel camera with 1080p HD recording, a front-facing camera, 1,900 mAh battery, and Android 2.3 with Sony's Timescape UI.

The processor may be last-generation, but snagging an HD display and 4G LTE connectivity for under $100 isn't bad.  Part 1 of 2.

Rani Hinnawi Not with that S3 processor, it can't. Otherwise, I would've been a bigger fan
Jeff Koenig I agree with Mr. Kornak. Sony has been slackers as far as with holding software updates. They need to really step up their game to compete.
Taylor Torri I think they can. It's a very well spec'd device for the price. For 100 bucks, I think most customers can ignore that it doesn't come with ICS out of the box.
Mark Kornak Not a chance. Sony has alienated its customers for too long. Sony is irrelevant.
Paul Davis Good review, sadly the sgsii is 50 bucks at best buy. The ion really should have been released months ago with the S3 snapdragon and 2.3 ui. It's a little out of place with all the other options out there.
Bernie Fen id say yes but it'll be an UPHILL battle...
David Slawter You all should take Sundays off. You'll enjoy it. :)
Michael Garrett Yes, but they have to get it on all of the USA carrier's for it to go any where...
