Lingo continues to add new E911 coverage

Last November the FCC set forth new regulations for all voice over IP (VoIP) providers.  The regulations made it mandatory for VoIP providers to be able to give each of their customers enhanced 911 (E911) access.

This forced Lingo, a leading VoIP phone service provider, to reduce its sales area coverage from nationwide to geo-specific areas.  While Lingo does have emergency calling service nationwide, they are still working with their underlying E911 service provider Intrado, to roll out E911 services across the US.  Lingo expects to see increasing E911 coverage over the next 3 to 6 months giving them a much bigger sales coverage area.
