Vonage Marketing, a subsidiary of Vonage Holdings Corp., a leading Internet telephony provider in North America and Motorola Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced the availability of the Motorola VT2442 Internet Phone Adaptor with Router, a four port router and two line Internet telephone adaptor configured with Vonage’s service. The device is now available at Vonage direct, vonage.com for $19.99 after a $60 instant rebate.

Vonage is pleased to offer its customers Motorola’s new product, as the company always seeks to offer a variety of hardware choices, for its inexpensive, flat-rate, full-featured calling plans. Motorola is a proven partner and we are pleased to add another one of its devices to our portfolio,” stated Daniel Smires, senior vice president of Engineering. “Vonage is happy to continue its relationship with Motorola, which continuously characterizes the leadership necessary to create broadband enabled home electronics products and has strong brand recognition.”

An all-in-one solution, the versatile Motorola VT2442 greatly simplifies the process of adding Internet telephone service into a home network. The VT2442 powers up to two lines of telephone service and supports popular features such as call waiting, call forwarding and caller ID. The VT2442 also includes a fully-featured home network router, offering four Ethernet ports for connecting computers or gaming consoles, and an advanced firewall for Internet security. The product incorporates Texas Instruments’ TNETV1060 VoIP gateway chipset, further enhancing the quality and feature offerings of Vonage’s Internet telephony service for subscribers.

This product represents the continuation of Vonage’s relationship with Motorola. It offers more features than the previously introduced Motorola VT1005, an award-winning Internet Phone adapter also offered by Vonage.

“The Motorola VT2442 brings together the convenience of high-speed home networking with the powerful features of the Vonage Internet Phone service,” said Charles Dougherty, corporate vice president and general manager, Motorola Connected Home Solutions. “Motorola is proud to expand its relationship with Vonage and enable them to offer more choice to customers through our expanded voice gateway portfolio.”

Alexander: New MOTO Smartphone Powered by NVIDIA
A while back a rumor about "Motorola's Last Chance Phone" hit the blogosphere.  Word was that MOTO R&D had a superphone up its sleeve that would basically be the company's last attempt to rise from the ashes and inch their way back towards global mobile dominance.  Today that phone has a name, a look, and a spec sheet ... if you believe BGR. The MOTO Alexander is a somewhat odd (unique?  I think it's odd) looking WIndows...

Not a day goes by that I don't check my phone hysterically from morning 'til night. I love the thing! It's sleek, streamlined, trim, thin, glossy and silky, even.  Whatever you like to call your own phone, there's always that one name that'll always stick with it: the manufacturer's. Now these names have their...differences. The differences between the companies' naming styles is almost a reflection of society today, in fact. For...

Anticipated Phones of the year, are you serious? Its sales were disgusting. Plus dont you think they kind of copied the design of the blackjack?

Is the Motorola ROKR e6 worth it?

I personaly think the e6 rokr is the best of its kind. Although they are coming out with the new e8 rokr july 7th which will start at $199, i think it is no match for the e6, the e6 is touchscreen not so fat and very well designed. As for the e8, it isnt touchscreen (if your a touchscreen fan dont get it) It also has a small screen and the design isnt exactly what i like to call AMAZING. I think that if your thinking of getting any sort of rokr...

Motorola I355 GPS system

Hi there, my work has just issued each employee a motorola 'MIKE' I355 with a gps tracking system in it.  We were not made aware of its tracking capabilities by the company i work for and some of us are feeling violated by this.  Is there a way to remove the tracking device from the phone or jam the signal?
