Horrible experience!

Overall Rating:
2 out of 5
By: Alex Makarov on Wednesday, August 06, 2008
From: Staten Island, NY (United States)
Experience: 4 Years
Pros: Tech support responding fast.
Customer service is ok.

Cons: Tech support in many cases is not effective. Cancellation department is very unfriendly and rude. If they overcharge you, you never get back your money!

Summary: This is very easy to get and very hard to cancell!
Lingo accept the cancellation ONLY BY PHONE!!!
I was waiting hours listening annoing music. The person, who talked to me was very rude! After four years with Lingo i switch my phone to other company!

A lot of static

Overall Rating:
2.4 out of 5
By: Davide Raso on Thursday, May 01, 2008
From: Minchianapolis, MN (United States)
Experience: 4 Years
Pros: cheap, international rates included to Europe

Cons: lot of static, call quality horrible,

Summary: I've had Lingo for over 4 years now and I am at the point that I need to look for a different phone system. The static is almost louder then the caller. I've tried to resolve the problem through customer service but they refused to send me a different box. I believe the box is the culprit and no one believes me.

Lingo is Long Gone

Overall Rating:
2.6 out of 5
By: Kem Martin on Wednesday, October 10, 2007
From: Chicago, IL (United States)
Experience: 4 Years
Pros: Cheap, Easy Setup, Call Amenities

Cons: Worst Ever Customer Service, Call Quality, Troubleshooting

Summary: I have had lingo since its inception, it started off great and has been a downward spiral. There are long waits to speak to customer service, language barriers once you reach someone from customer service, and they usually cannot solve the issue (always a reboot of the system). I have/still have an on-going issue for 6 months now. After each service call they send a survey...for what, they never address the comments given. My calls are unclear, have a lot of static and always drop. I would not recommend Lingo to anyone; many of my friends have terminated their service.
