The Friday before CTIA and a few bits and pieces of phone news are coming in ... that's a good sign.
Earlier today I traded Emails with one of my contacts at LG to make sure that we sync up at CTIA Wireless next week in San Francisco. She mentioned that LG will be launching a few new phones, and a new "product" backed by some kind of clever celebrity endorsement. The celebrity won't be at CTIA, she said, but it'll make sense when you see who it is. Hmm ... intrigue.
Anyway, just now I took a tour around my RSS feeds and found some interesting bits coming out of the FCC's regular Friday filings. CellPhoneSignal and PhoneScoop are all in a tizzy about a previously unannounced new LG phone headed for Verizon Wireless, the VX9600. Judging from the info gleamed from the FCC filings and the device's high-end model number (VX9600 slots in just below the VX10000 Voyager and VX9700 Dare), we could be in for a treat next week at the show.
Anybody got any hot tips on this one?
