According to BGR, Storm is getting a facelift of sorts: The new version will feature an improved touchscreen that's infinitely less annoying that the old one. No real details on why. The only tidbit leaked was that it should be a "big improvement" that's supposed to make the typing experience way better. Actually, the word BGR used was "pleasurable", which sent my mind in some interesting directions.
Also rumored is the name of this new technology: RIM is reportedly ditching the old 'SurePress' name and going with the completely different-sounding, totally revolutionary moniker of 'TruePress'.
(Can't you envision a bunch of suits sitting around a conference table, calling out, "How about ImPress? HotPress? Or The Press-o-Matic? Oh! I've got it! The ImPressive EmPress of all Press-tigitation?" Oh puhlease!) Whatever they're calling it, let's hope it works.
Also big news for Big Red customers, says Slashgear, is that this phone will actually come with Wifi (not a hobbled VZW version that forces you to buy its products). Will it have a big 5 MP camera, like BGR thinks it will? We'll know for sure in September.
