There were rumors this morning that some lucky iPhone 4 pre-orderers would be receiving their devices early, and now we can confirm that the rumors were all true. A couple of lucky Twitter users managed to get their units early, although activations are not going smoothly for everyone. We already knew that Apple had bumped delivery of pre-orders up a day to the 23rd, but I guess some FedEx drivers just couldn't wait to make their recipients really happy.
It's surprising that this has happened as Apple is usually pretty good about making sure their devices don't arrive any earlier than they're supposed to. With all of the other iPhone 4 leaks and slip-ups, however, I guess this was bound to happen. If you do get your iPhone 4 early, it would probably be wise to activate it soon so that you can avoid any possible mess tomorrow as thousands of new iPhone owners crash AT&T servers trying to activate their devices. Have any of you received your iPhone 4 early?
