Someone at Best Buy sure likes white smartphones. Back in June the retailer exclusively launched a white HTC EVO 4G, and now they're up to it again, offering both the Samsung Fascinate and Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 in white. Both devices will be available starting on October 24th and will set you back $150 and $100, respectively. It's important to note that while the X10's entire body is white, only the back of the Fascinate is sporting the new color. You can also see the Best Buy will begin selling the Dell Streak, which will be updated to Android 2.2 soon, on Oct. 24th for $300. Finally, we have the Windows Phone 7-powered HTC Surround will be landing at BBY on November 8th for $200. All devices are available for pre-order starting today.
Having more color options is always great, especially on high-profile smartphones that are rarely offered in more than one color (save for BlackBerrys). While I'm not a huge fan of the black-front-and-white-back styling found on the Fascinate and EVO, I do think the X10 looks rather handsome in its new snowy shade. Now that Samsung and Sony Ericsson have managed to push out white versions of existing devices, perhaps Apple will finally get around to releasing that mythical white iPhone 4?
UPDATE: We've heard that a white Dell Streak may also be in the works. It's still a rumor at this point, but we'll keep you updated as we hear more!
UPDATE #2: Best Buy has gone ahead and made everything official. All of the leaked info was spot on, although the white Dell Streak is still just a rumor. Check out the press release below!
