Last month, Best Buy shared with us the news that they'd be offering the HTC Flyer in a WiFi-only flavor sometime this spring, and now the big box retailer has given up a few more details on the 7-inch slate's availability. Although there's still no word on exactly when Best Buy will actually begin selling the Flyer, interested parties will be excited to know that pre-sales of the tablet will kick off on April 25th. When next Monday rolls around and Flyer pre-orders do go live, you can expect to pay $499.99 for the privilege of taking one home.
Although the HTC Flyer has a lot of unique qualities that could make it tough to resist, like the 7-inch screen size and HTC Scribe technology, the fact that a WiFi-only, Honeycomb-packing Motorola XOOM is available for only $100 more than a Flyer could make HTC's offering a tough sell for some. Then again, the portability and Sense UI of the Flyer is pretty tempting. Are any of you planning on picking up a Flyer or is there another slate that you've been lusting after?
