News on the Samsung SPH-D600, aka Conquer 4G for Sprint, has slowly been trickling out for the past couple of months. Today Samsung let the WiMAX cat out of the bag, though, posting photos and and several other details on the Conquer 4G. What kind of specs does the Conquer pack? Glad you asked: 3.5-inch 480x320 display, 1GHz processor, 3.2-megapixel camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter, WiMAX connectivity, Sprint ID, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. No official word on when the Conquer 4G will take over Sprint shelves, but a leaked Sprint inventory sheet has shown that it could be launching on July 24th.
Although the Conquer 4G looks to be more of a mid-range Android device, it's still great to see Sprint getting ready to add another WiMAX handset to its lineup. Plus, since the Conquer does feature specs that are somewhat middle of the road, I wouldn't be surprised to see it sport a fairly affordable price tag when it does arrive. So is all of that information enough to convince any of you to consider snagging on a Conquer 4G when it launches?
