Ever since HTC first confirmed that shipments of the One X and EVO 4G LTE had been stopped for review by U.S. Customs, the company has been fairly silent on the status of those devices. It seems that things may finally be starting to take a turn for the better, though, as HTC recently sent the Taipei Times in a statement explaining that some of its products have passed the review and begun making their way into the country. "Some of our products have passed the review and have been delivered to our telecoms operators’ clients in the US,” the company said.
So exactly which phones have already made it through? Unfortunately, HTC says that it doesn't have the status of each specific model right now. The firm does assure us that it's working with Customs to speed the review process along, though, and HTC says that it's "confident that this issue will be resolved soon." While these new bits of information don't shed much more light on when the EVO 4G LTE will finally debut or when more One X shipments will begin hitting shelves, it's still good news for anyone patiently waiting for either handset. Stay tuned for more details on EVO 4G LTE/One X Watch 2012 as we get them.
