Remember that Huawei P6-U06 device that leaked out earlier this month with a 6.18mm-thick body? It's back again today, showing off its super-thin frame in couple of different image leaks. The renders, which were posted to Chinese microblogging service Sina Weibo by @evleaks, show the device in both black and white. The phone looks fairly similar to the one that we saw in the wild a couple of weeks ago, including the line of buttons and slots on its side. The handset is referred to as the "Ascend P6," suggesting that that may be its final name.
According to previous rumors about this Huawei P6, the device will come to market with a 4.7-inch 720p display and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean beneath Huawei's custom Emotion UI. Interestingly, Engadget says that Huawei Device Chairman Richard Yu put up his own post on Sina Weibo saying that the device in these leaked images is indeed a P-series device and that it'll be unveiled at an event on June 18. Yu deleted the post shortly after it went live, but the good news is that the we learned all that we needed to know before it was. Now we just have to wait for June 18 to roll around so that we can get the full rundown on this extremely svelte handset.
UPDATE: The Ascend P6 leaks keep coming, as @evleaks has posted a new image showing the device in pink. Check it out below.
