Heads up, LG G Flex owners on Sprint, because a significant new update is coming your way.
Sprint today announced that an LG G Flex update to version LS995ZV7 is now making its way out to users. Included with the update is:
Sprint originally announced its Wi-Fi Calling feature earlier this year, giving it to the Samsung Galaxy Mega and Galaxy S4 mini first. We’ve seen it hit more devices since then, and it’s great to see Sprint extending the feature to the LG G Flex. After all, who doesn’t love the ability to make calls and send texts when there’s weak or no cellular coverage?
The update is now going out in batches and is expected to hit all LG G Flex-ers on Sprint by July 16. If you’d like to try and snag the update manually, you can head into Settings > System updates > Update LG software > Check now.
Have any of you used Sprint’s Wi-Fi Calling feature yet? If so, how is it working for you?
