Motorola’s Nexus 6 has been dominating the rumor mill as of late, but today we’re changing things up and turning our attention to the Nexus 6’s big brother.
The HTC Nexus 9 appears to have made its way through the Federal Communications Commission. An entry for an HTC device with the model number 0P82100 has been spotted in the FCC’s database, and according to the files included, the product is a tablet with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth and NFC. The docs also show that two models were tested: one with 16GB of storage and one with 32GB.
While there’s no guarantee that this is indeed the Nexus 9, the information included with the report line up with what we’d expect from an HTC tablet. It’s also worth noting that the device’s appearance in the FCC doesn’t guarantee that it’s close to release. We have heard that the Nexus 9 will debut in Q3 2014, though, and now that it’s passed through the FCC, it’s one step closer to hitting store shelves and our hands.
Are you looking forward to the arrival of the HTC Nexus 9?
