Apple’s iOS 7 and iOS 8 updates brought with them some major new features, including a visual overhaul and Control Center. However, some feel that the operating system’s stability has taken a hit during that time. Now a rumor claims that Apple will address those complaints with its next major iOS update.
Sources tell 9to5Mac that Apple is placing a “huge” focus on bug fixes, stability improvements, and performance boosts with iOS 9. It’s also said that Apple will work to keep the size of iOS and its updates manageable in order to allow owners of 16GB devices to more easily update. iOS 9 is expected to launch in 2015.
The exact details of what Apple will do to improve iOS stability while keeping the size of the software small are unknown. However, a focus on stability will be good for iOS. And while that may be the main thing that Apple is working on with iOS 9, I’m sure that the Cupertino firm will thrown a new feature or two in there as well.
What features would like to see Apple include in iOS 9?
