With one week to go before Apple’s new iPhone event, details about what Apple will announce continue to leak.
It’s expected that we’ll see both the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus at the show, and according to 9to5Mac, they’ll both be made of the same 7000 Series aluminum that the Apple Watch Sport is constructed with. A past report also suggested that Apple will sell the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in a new Rose Gold color alongside the Silver, Space Gray, and Gold options found on the iPhone 6.
As for pricing, both new iPhone models will reportedly cost the same as the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. That means that this is what their prices would look like:
iPhone 6s Plus
You likely noticed that the bottom tier iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are listed with 16GB of storage. Yes, today’s report says that Apple will once again offer 16GB of storage on the base iPhone 6s rather than bumping it up to 32GB. Sixteen gigabytes can be cramped for a smartphone OS, higher-res photos, and more, but it appears that Apple might just stick with it and urge people to store their content in the cloud.
In addition to these new iPhone models, it’s said that Apple will show two new iPad devices at the event. The first will be the oft-rumored iPad Pro, which is expected to be a 12.9-inch iOS tablet. That device will reportedly go up for pre-order in October and launch in November. In addition to the big iPad, Apple will allegedly show a new iPad mini with an updated A8 processor, upgraded cameras, and support for iOS 9’s split-screen apps feature.
Finally, Apple is expected to introduce some new Apple Watch Sport bands at next week’s big event. The bands will purportedly sport new colors, possibly including yellow, red, and a dark blue.
