If you use Google Photos for Android, you’re going to want to grab the latest update to the app, which makes a big change to photo editing.
The latest version of Google Photos for Android (v1.17) will always let you reverse edits you’ve made to a photo to get back to the original. “With today’s update for Android, editing is now fully reversible and non-destructive,” Google says, adding that whether you save your edits or save a new copy of your photo, the original will remain untouched.
The update is now rolling out in the Play Store, so you should be able to grab it this morning. It’s a small update, but being able to always go back to your original photo is a nice feature, making it easy to go back and view an original photo and make totally different edits to it if you’d like.
