OnePlus One owners, get ready to sink your teeth into a Marshmallow treat.
An update to Cyanogen OS 13, complete with Android 6.0.1, is now rolling out to OnePlus One owners. OnePlus got word from Cyanogen that the update would begin rolling on April 9, but it appears as though someone has already flipped the switch, because at least a few folks in the OnePlus forums have already gotten the update.
OnePlus does note that the update will be rolling out in stages, so don’t fret if you haven’t gotten any Marshmallow bits on your OnePlus One yet. Just try to be patient as the update continues to make its way to more users.
We’ve known for a while now that the OnePlus One would be updated to Android 6.0, so it’s no surprise to see it hitting devices today. It’s still a welcome sight, though, because the OnePlus One is starting to get a bit long in the tooth. Not everyone can or wants to upgrade to a new phone on a regular basis, and so it’s great when companies show love to older devices by giving them major new updates. That’s exactly what the OnePlus One is getting now, so if you’re still rocking a One, have fun exploring Marshmallow on your device.
