T-Mobile has made 10 Un-carrier moves to date, doing things like giving zero-rated video streaming with Binge On and rollover data with Data Stash. Lots of folks have been wondering what the next Un-carrier move will be, and now we may have an answer.
With Un-carrier 11, T-Mobile will give its customers all kinds of goodies, according to a report from VentureBeat. This includes a free Domino’s pizza, Wendy’s Frosty, and Vudu movie download every week. T-Mo is also reportedly planning giveaways that’ll include movie tickets, event trips, and gift cards. You’ll even be able to sign up for T-Mobile quarter-stock within two weeks of the Un-carrier 11 event, today’s report says, giving you a piece of T-Mo itself. Un-carrier 11 will reportedly be promoted using the hashtag #GetThanked, and all of these freebies will be given out using a new app called T-Mobile Tuesdays.
It’s said that the Un-carrier 11 event is currently scheduled for June 6.
Many of T-Mobile’s Un-carrier moves have been things that we’ve never seen from a major US carrier before, and this rumored Un-carrier 11 move sounds like more of the same. Carriers have certainly held contests in the past, but T-Mobile is reportedly planning on giving its customers a pizza, ice cream, and a movie download every week. Some of those things may not appeal to everyone — some folks may not eat ice cream, for example — but there are probably quite a few T-Mo customers that wouldn’t mind a free movie night every week.r
