The BLU Vivo Go is now official, and BLU says that it's the first Android Pie (Go edition) phone in the U.S. You can buy the GSM unlocked phone right now from Amazon.
Having Android Pie (Go edition) means that the BLU Vivo Go runs lightweight versions of Android apps to help save internal storage and load apps faster. Some apps can help you conserve cellular data usage, too, like Google's YouTube Go app.
BLU's Vivo Go is also packing a 6-inch 1440x720 display and 5MP camera with flash on its face. Around back there's a dual camera setup with an 8MP main snapper and secondary VGA camera that can combine to let you adjust a photo's depth of field. BLU has also included a fingerprint reader on the back of the Vivo Go to give your security a boost.
Inside there's a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek 6739 processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. If that's not enough, you can pop a microSD card into the BLU Vivo Go to get some additional storage space. Rounding things out is a 2600mAh battery along with a dedicated power saving button on the side of the phone.
The BLU Vivo Go is an entry-level phone, but if you're the type of smartphone user who doesn't need much from your phone beyond calling, texting, email, and some web browsing, this could be a good option for you. It's an affordable device and it's running the latest version of Android, which is something that not many other phones can say today.
