Tetris Royale is a new game from N3TWORK and, like its name implies, it'll be in the battle royale style. The 100-player competitive mode will have you dropping Tetriminos and clearing lines to try and get your way to the top of the leaderboards.
There will be other game modes included in Tetris Royale, including daily challenges that'll let you earn rewards like customization options and power-ups and boosters that you can use while battling other players. Also included will be a solo Marathon mode where you'll be able to clear lines on your own and improve your Tetris skills.
Tetris Royale is currently in development for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. An official launch date isn't yet available, but N3TWORK says that the game will be available in "select territories" for beta testing in 2019.
This isn't the first battle royale-style Tetris game, as Tetris 99 launched on Nintendo Switch earlier this year and pitted you against 99 other players to see who could outlast all the others. Tetris Royale is notable because it's coming to Android and iOS devices, meaning folks will be able to play using the smartphone that they already have rather than shelling out hundreds of dollars for a Nintendo Switch.
Will you try Tetris Royale when it launches on mobile devices?
