Dr. Mario World has arrived one day early.
Dr. Mario World is a match three game that tasks you with eliminating colored viruses using the limited number of capsules you're given in each level. There are multiple worlds available, each with its own different levels, and Nintendo has said that it plans to add more levels in the future.
Playing each level will require you to spend a heart. If you run out of hearts, you can either wait for them to refill over time or pay diamonds to get more hearts immediately. Diamonds are Dr. Mario World's premium currency, with pricing ranging from 20 diamonds for $1.99 to 250 diamonds for $19.99. Diamonds can also be used to unlock additional playable characters, like Luigi, Princess Peach, and Bowser, each with its own special abilities.
In addition to the single player mode, Dr. Mario World includes a versus mode that lets you play against your friends without using hearts.
It's great to see Nintendo continue to embrace mobile by releasing games with well-known characters. Dr. Mario was a popular game that originally launched on the NES in 1990, and we're looking forward to see how Nintendo has updated it for mobile devices in 2019.
