T-Mobile will not sell the Samsung Galaxy Fold when it relaunches in September. T-Mo was one of two U.S. carriers that originally planned on selling the Galaxy Fold, the other being AT&T, but it's now confirmed to The Verge that it no longer plans to carry the device.
Here's T-Mobile's full statement on the matter:
"T-Mobile will not carry the Galaxy Fold because we already offer customers a wide range of the latest smartphones. Please reach out to Samsung for any further inquiries."
The news is probably disappointing for Samsung, as it means that its brand new smartphone will be in front of fewer consumers. It's also a bummer for T-Mobile customers who were interested in the Galaxy Fold because they won't be able to buy the phone on EIP through their carrier. Instead, they'll have to go unlocked and pay the full $1,980 upfront if they want to live the foldable life.
