YouTube TV's channel selection will expand again later this year.
Google announced today that PBS and PBS Kids will launch on YouTube TV later this year. There's no word yet on exactly when the channels will arrive, but we do now have confirmation that they'll be available at some point soon.
It's always great to see a TV streaming service add more channels, giving you more stuff to watch and coming closer to replicating the regular cable TV experience. The addition of PBS and PBS Kids to YouTube TV will bring shows like Austin City Limits, This Old House, Antiques Roadshow, and Arthur, all of which are big names for Google to add to its service.
YouTube TV is available nationwide at a price of $49.99 per month. The streaming service offers live television from more than 70 networks, including ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox as well as CNN, ESPN, NBCSN, TNT, HGTV, and Food Network. A paid subscription also includes six accounts, each with its own login and personalized DVR, and a cloud DVR with no storage limits.
