Company Overview: Liberty Wireless was founded in 2002 and offers prepaid wireless services as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) on the Sprint Nationwide PCS Network. In January 2006, InPhonic, Inc. sold certain of its Liberty Wireless assets to TelePlus Wireless, Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of TelePlus Enterprises, Inc.

Network Benefits: Sprint's network provides extensive nationwide coverage.

Special Plan Features: Prepaid-only services offer "postpaid contract features" with no commitment and no credit check necessary. Voice services are available in a range of plans starting at $30/mo for 300 anytime minutes.

Unique Features: Voice services only.

Pros: Prepaid plans offer rates competitive with major carriers' postpaid monthly plans, but without the commitment of a one or two year contract.

Cons: Voice services only. Not all plans offer unlimited nights/weekends. Phone prices higher than those of monthly contract carriers. Overage chargers one some plans are quite a bit higher than other national carriers.

Technology Used: Liberty Wireless operates using CDMA on Sprint's PCS network.
