About this Cell Phone Plan

The Verizon Wireless Prepaid Smartphone Plan is an individual prepaid cell phone plan that offers unlimited minutes and text messaging. The Verizon Prepaid Plan also includes 500 MB, 3 GB, 8 GB, or Unlimited Data.

Prepaid Data Packs

• The $30 plan offers 500MB of data, and additional data can be purchased when necessary.
• The $35 plan offers 3GB of data, and additional data can be purchased when necessary.
• The $45 plan offers 8GB of data, and additional data can be purchased when necessary.
• The $65 per month Prepaid Unlimited Plan offers unlimited data (although it can be slowed when the network is congested, or when you reach 22GB of usage per month).

Customers can also purchase additional data for the plan with an offering called Bridge Data. Extra data costs $5 per 500MB which expires after 30 days, $10 for 1GB of data which expires after 90 days, or $20 for an extra 3GB of data which expires after 90 days. Subscribers of the Wi-Fi only plan cannot purchase these additional data packages.

Mobile Hotspot

Verizon prepaid plans allow for mobile hotspot use. Note: the Prepaid Unlimited Plan does not offer mobile hotspot.

Always-On Data

Once your high-speed data limit is met, you will still have access to unlimited data but the speed will be slowed to 128kb/second.

Unlimited Texts to Mexico, Canada, and Puerto Rico

This Verizon plan offers unlimited SMS text messages to Mexico, Canada, and Puerto Rico. 

Free Long Distance and Roaming in the USA

The plan offers unlimited long distance and roaming calls to long distance numbers in the USA at no additional charge (as long as the customer is also in the United States).
