Apple’s iPad 3 also comes as the first iPad model to have Retina Display, a standout feature that Apple has equipped for their bestselling devices. While the iPad 3 may resemble its past two older brothers, it does come with a host of new features. Along with Retina Display, the screen of the tablet comes with a 9.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD display with a 2048 x 1536 resolution. Powering the iPad 3 is a 1GHz Dual-Core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU and Apple A5X chip with 1GB of RAM and a Quad-Core PowerVR SGX543MP4 graphics processor. There is a 5MP rear-facing camera sensor equipped with geo-tagging, touch focus, and a camcorder capable of recording 1080p video quality. The front-facing camera available on the tablet is a 0.3MP VGA sensor. The iPad 3 is available in either black or white color options. Along with the color, memory options available for the tablet include 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. Upon unboxing, the iPad 3 runs iOS 5.1 with an update to iOS 8.3 available as a download. Thanks to a non-removable Li-Po 11560mAh battery, the iPad 3 is able to last up to 10 hours of talk time and 720 hours in standby mode.
