The Audiovox CDM-9500 is a flip phone added by Verizon Wireless to its roster of handset models. As a flip phone, the Audiovox CDM-9500 comes with two screens—one main screen capable of accommodating nine lines of text, the other is a two line display visible even when the device is closed. This exterior screen display shows caller ID, date, time, signal strength, battery status, and network mode. The main display, on the other hand, comes with a bright, 65,000-color screen. To navigate through menu options, there is a five-way navigational mouse button, which also serves as speakerphone/earpiece volume controls. The phone comes with a 300-name phone book, where you can input up to five numbers and three email addresses for every entry. Users may search for contact details alphabetically through the keyboard or by location. As a tri-mode phone, the 9500 has a CDMA 800/1900, AMPS 800 capability that makes an acceptable call quality. Other features available on the 9500 include caller ID, voice-activated calling, SMS, vibrate mode, built-in speakerphone, BREW downloadable application support, 1XRTT high-speed data, GPS location technology, and a total of 27 ringtones. The phone has a total talk time of 1.5 hours and a standby time of 12 hours.
