There is much to love about the Huawei Ascend Mate 2. As the successor to the Ascend Mate model, the phone follows the example of its older brother in creating a device with a large screen and an even larger battery. Classified as a phablet, the Ascend Mate 2 comes with a 6.1-inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 720 resolution and 241ppi. its battery size is a Li-Ion 4050mAh battery that helps it last up to 25 hours of talk time. What’s different, however, is the thinner frame at only 9.5mm. From the inside, the Ascend Mate 2 runs on a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 305 GPU. Its built-in flash storage is 16GB, with an option to expand the memory by up to 64GB with a microSD card. The phone comes with a couple of cameras—a 13MP rear-facing camera that can also record 1080p videos; and a 5MP camera sensor in front. Running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, the Ascend Mate 2 is available in Pure White or Crystal Black color.
