So-So

Posted on: June 18th, 2007 by Chris Hoff

Phone seems to be alright, however, I miss the speaker phone and the availability of bluetooth.Seems they left out some of the necessities of hands free driving. The controversy of driving while on the telephone fails with this model. Poor choice.

The good: everythingThe bad: side buttons don't lockSummary: This is a great phone. It is durable and strong. It has survived falls and even a dip in the swimming pool. It just took a day to dry out and it still works as good as ever.It is a great size and it takes good pictures

LG7000 - It does everything you want and even more.

Posted on: August 6th, 2006 by Anonymous

The good: Good Reception.Good battery life.2 color LCD displays.Picture / Text Messaging. No need to buy Ringtones ever.Camera Lens Swivels 180 degrees.Buttons on the side are very convenient.Takes Pictures and Movies (15 seconds).WAP 2.0 (Internet browsing, games, etc).Picture ID, shows picture of who is calling.Voice dial, just say the persons name to call them. The bad: No Speaker Phone.Camera - Pictures are not high quality.Verizon banner is every where. When playing games, battery runs out pretty quick.Summary: I have been using this phone for more than 2 years and it still works just as it did that first day. This phone was ahead of its time in my opinion, meaning that they packed a lot more features than you ever want. Some of the features I still don?t use but I can if I want to, for example the picture messaging, why use text messaging and burn you fingers out when you can just take a snapshot and send it over. This phone is not slim at all; it is a little big and thick, great if you accidentally drop a few times like I did. The LCD colors are very bright, and the inside one has a very good resolution making everything easier to read and the wallpapers eye pleasing. The calls are very loud and very clear, but the downside is that it has no speakerphone. This phone is equipped with Get it Now service, which means you can download games, ringtones, wallpapers all from your phone. If you opt in for the WAP service you can even check you email right from your phone. There is also a way around this, if you find a proxy and change some settings, you can bypass the Verizon computers and get free internet, although it is not as fast a broadband and the browser screen is pretty small to view any page in full. There is also a hack for to get unlimited games, if you download a demo game, as soon as it finished downloading press the clear button to go back and download it as many times as you want, the more times you download the longer you can play it. If you buy the USB pack you can even connect your phone to the computer and download new wallpapers and ringtones, you can also send the pictures and videos you took to your computer. You can also record a phone conversation very easily and record voice memos with the touch of the side button. You can also take pictures without opening the phone using another side button, these buttons are very convenient. The menu is also very easy to use and colorful. The camera swivels 180 degrees so you can easily take portrait pictures, there is also a built in flash for low light conditions. The photos this phone takes are great to view on the phones LCD screen but not to good to view on anything else. The videos this phone takes isn?t that great, again good to view on the LG 7000?s LCD but not on anything else. The voice dialing is awesome, just flip open the phone and press one of the side buttons and say the name of the person you want to call and it calls, if it doesn?t understand it will say ?Did you mean ?? and you can say ?yes? or ?no?, and it recognizes those commands too. If you?re looking for an awesome phone and don?t mind the size, then the LG7000 is a very good choice.
