Very Disappointed

Posted on: July 30th, 2007 by Jenn Fern

The good: Good comfort grip; compact. The bad: Bad reception; low ring volume; volume key on side is in an awkward place when holding phone and talking; camera has poor picture quality; heavy.Summary: This phone has lots of bells and whistles, but don't let this fool you. The most important functions of the phone are pathetic. Reception is bad (I've never had this problem with other cell phones, so it's not my carrier), ring tone is not loud enough, even at highest setting so sometimes you can't even hear it ringing, and the controls on the side of the phone are hit by accident when holding the phone to your ear.

DON'T RELY ON tHE REPUTATION OF MOTOROLA'S 2-WAY RADIOS, THE SAME ENGINEERS MUST NOT HAVE DESIGNED THIS PHONE.

Posted on: April 22nd, 2007 by B TUSTI

The good: LOTS OF FEATURES FOR YOUR $. GOOD CAMERA.BLUETOOTH WORKS WELL.The bad: PC SYNC IS SLOW WHEN IT WORKS. LOCK RING SETTINGS, BECAUSE THE CONTROL IS ON THE OUTSIDE OF PHONE AND YOU CAN EASILY TURN IT(YOUR RINGER) OFF BY ACCIDENT. MENU IS A MESS TO NAVIGATE. SPEAKER PHONE IS POOR. DOESN'T DISPLAY CLOCK WHEN TALKING. CAN'T REMOVE PRELOADED MEDIA. USER MANUAL IS TERRIBLE, NO MAKE THAT USELESS. THE FIRST DRAFT MUST HAVE BEEN IN CRAYON. A STANDARD USB CONNECTOR WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE.Summary: I GOT THIS BECAUSE I HAVE USED MOTOROLA 2 WAY RADIOS AT WORK FOR YEARS. THEY WORK AND ARE DURABLE. HOWEVER, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A MOTOROLA PHONE AGAIN. i STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT THE MOTO MIXER IS SUPPOSED TO DO.

The good: video recordingThe bad: weigth, charge time, below average reception, no infraredSummary: despite being heavy this phone is short of cool features like infrared. bluetooth which is installed doesnt work good with other phones. voice quality is by far adequate. however for price concious buyers it migth be a simple camera phone with video recorder. it takes for ever to charge

The good: Tough phone, decent interface, looks good, overall good receptionThe bad: Interface (has a few bugs), vibrate option flawedSummary: Overall, the phone is great. It's much more durable than those trendy RAZR's and other slim phones on the market, yet it's also packed with features. Also, the design of the physical phone isn't really one that will get outdated. My biggest annoyance with this phone though is that it has no option for vibrate AND ring, only an option for vibrate THEN ring.

The good: Nice comfort grip on outer shell, loud speakerphone, durableThe bad: Volume key on side is very sensitiveSummary: The phone is good overall but it is too easy to hit the side volume key and turn your ringer to silent and you not even know it. The phone has a nice grip. Only one game was on the phone and it was a demo.

The good: The sound quality when you are playing music is good. The bad: The phone often blacks out and has to be restarted, the volume during phone calls is horribleSummary: This phone was good at the beginning, but then many problems began to appear. The phone would turn off at random times and would take a while to start backup again. The picture quality became worse (pictures looked very orange). Also, I rarely hear anyone when I call them because the sound is so bad.

Great Phone

Posted on: October 13th, 2006 by Sandra Lindner

The good: keypad is of a decent size for those of us with arthritis and screen is very clear - pictures are also good and easy to takeThe bad: colors of nos/alpha are hard to see for people with sight problems and the buttons on the sides for sound etc.. are too sensitive to the touch when picking up the phone I am always inadvertently shutting off the soundSummary: I prefer this model over the most recent smaller models Even though I feel the keypad is of good size for people with disabilities, visually they need more definition. The newer ones I can't use at all.

Not the best phone around

Posted on: September 24th, 2006 by B. Larsen

The good: heavy, if you like the substantial feel. Color screen. The bad: Often, the phone is unable to charge.Summary: Problems with the recharger, the prongs don't fit well and often the phone says it won't charge. It's plugged in correctly but the next morning when you leave the house you realize it didn't charge. I had two of these phones, both broke, both wouldn't charge often. One completely lost sercvice, the other lost volume. I don't recomend this phone
